Desire
Desire encompasses a myriad range of ideas but distilled, it embodies what we want: to possess, to protect, to change, to consume, to destroy...
Desire is not passive; there is tactical action embodied in longing, though it may not manifest consciously. Even if it exists purely in a mental exploration, it defines how we see, think, feel, respond, react, and the subsequent repercussions of our actions on one another or other things. It often resides in an exquisite–even perverse–tension between what we choose to do, what we should do, and what we long to do.
